The migration to the new hosting provider went very smoothly – if you’re reading this it means everything is online and the DNS has appropriately propagated. Performance is markedly improved.

A big thank you to everybody for being patient with the recent issues we were seeing. Your feedback helped escalate the issue to the resolution we implemented in a few short days. If you see any such issues in the future please remember that support can be contacted via IM and/or email – don’t hesitate to use it, that’s what you’re paying for.

yea – one of those “we are going to do everything properly so we won’t even need to consider this – it is just something that losers have to do” :-)

Am in the middle of developing an online service with someone and blog/site separation is an absolute for us.

Keith – yes, the new host had some network issues today. While that may seem like a bad sign – I’m still very comfortable with the new setup. During the whole process they were very responsive and competent. I’m not going to judge them by this hiccup alone. However, keeping the site 100% up is my main goal so if this becomes a habit as it has in the past I will be looking for other hosts.

Could not get through to gtdtracks for a couple of hours today and blog was unavailable also – was this a problem with the new host?
